Le Sentier France et André Dion

André Dion and his wife, France Dumas-Dion, are among the pioneers of ornithology in Québec. Passionate defenders of birds, they were the first in the province to help restore the population of the Eastern Bluebird, a once-threatened species, by installing thousands of nesting boxes.

France Dion donated to Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature the collection of nesting boxes and books she and her husband curated over decades. You can explore this unique collection along the Dion Trail, a museum dedicated to the life and achievements of this passionate couple.

A creation by scenographer Mario Bouchard, presented behind the Éco-café du Bout du monde.
