La Mauricie National Park invites you to an intimate encounter with the Laurentians, the mountain range along the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River. This 536 km² territory exudes great serenity, inspired by its gentle landscape. In this vast rolling plateau of hills, valleys, and countless lakes, life flows at nature’s pace. Only the seasons disturb time’s passage by subtly changing the landscape’s details.
This place of renewal invites both activity and relaxation. Since its creation in 1970, the park has ensured the protection of this generous territory’s integrity. It preserves a representative sample of the southernmost region of the Canadian Shield. Welcome to this peaceful haven! Mauricie National Park, a conservation area that depends on your commitment!
The park offers trails for biking, skiing, hiking, and portaging, as well as camping sites.
Important: The Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc entrance is closed from October to May. If needed, you can use the Saint-Jean-des-Piles entrance, open year-round (take exit 226 off highway 55 and follow signs to Chemin du Parc-National). Visit the La Mauricie National Park website for the Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc entrance opening dates.
